Tate gallery puts art work on Minecraft

Tate gallery brings artwork on MinecraftClose

The Tate Gallery is going to showcase some of its most acclaimed artworks in 3D form, within the virtual world of the computer game Minecraft.

It has collaborated with the developers of Minecraft - the online game on computers where millions of players meticulously build fantasy worlds block by block to create 3D versions of two of its works, in a new virtual gallery.
Minecraft Servers

The first two of eight Minecraft images will be available for download on Monday.

Dougal Shaw, BBC Technology reporter, examined the 3D Minecraft version of Andre Derain's The Pool of London (1906).
